Every so often I get asked what is the best supplement company out there. Every time I’m asked I give an honest answer. It isn’t the answer people want to hear but it is the honest answer. You get what you pay for.
I have brands that I use and I support. I have brands that I sell and have sold in the past. I have taken a plethora of things ranging from the very inexpensive to the top of the line products. The moral of the story is, you get what you pay for.
A key fact about nutritional supplements is that they are not regulated by the FDA. You can’t patent a naturally occurring substance, and there for you can’t patent or regulate very heavily nutritional supplements. Keeping that in mind, when you pay $9.99 for a two month supply of any vitamin there is a really good chance you are getting a lot of filler, usually water.
This article from February 2015 is very telling about some of that. If you notice some of the brand names mentioned in the article in your cabinet maybe it’s time to purge them.
